WHO WE ARE

The Elizabeth Harbour Conservation Partnership (EHCP) is a registered Bahamian non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. The EHCP was established in 2012 after the completion of the Integrating Watershed and Coastal Area Management project. We are a group of local Exumians, (and one transplant), that care about our beautiful Exuma and seeing it develop sustainably. 

Craig Parotti

President, Founding Member

Born and raised in Nassau, Craig and his wife moved to George Town, Exuma, in 1997. They are parents to two children and are business owners.

Craig has been the chairman of the Port Authority – Exuma for more than 15 years. He has been boating throughout The Bahamas from a young age and is an avid fisherman.

Howard Bethel

Vice President, Founding Member

Howard Bethel Jr. serves as the Vice President of Elizabeth Harbour Conservation Partnership. As an Ordained Minister in the Anglican Diocese of the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Islands, he serves his community with compassion and a strong sense of purpose. 

Howard advocates for environmental causes, drawing from his experiences as a former Director of Operations in the hotel industry. His expertise in this field has afforded him a deep understanding of the interplay between conservation, tourism, and the economy. This has further fueled his passion for environmentalism, recognizing its pivotal role in the sustainability of the tourism industry and the broader well-being of the islands he calls home.

Daran Clarke

Treasurer

Daran Clarke, a vibrant and outgoing young man, is the dedicated lead auditor in the Exuma Audit Department. Beyond his professional pursuits, Daran is the proud owner of Hydro Watersports, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and love for adventure while striving to enhance the Exuma Tourism product. 

As a devoted SDA Youth Elder, he actively engages with his community, imparting wisdom and fostering a sense of unity. Daran finds fulfillment in his loving father and dedicated husband roles, embodying a harmonious balance between his family life and multifaceted professional responsibilities. His dynamic personality and commitment to work and community make Mr. Clarke an inspiring figure in his personal and professional spheres.

Catherine Booker

Secretary, Founding Member

Catherine Booker is an avid land and sea conservationist, a devoted environmental educator, and an advocate for using entrepreneurship to create a more sustainable planet. Originally from Savannah, Georgia, she now calls beautiful Exuma her home. Catherine works for the Bahamas National Trust as their Exuma Program Coordinator to accelerate the establishment of Moriah Harbour Cay National Park

Wendy Rowe

Director, Founding Member

Wendy Rowe owns and manages the real estate brokerage firm Front Rowe Realty. She is a fifth-generation Bahamian born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas. In 1998, Wendy relocated from Nassau to George Town, Great Exuma, with her husband, and while living aboard, she discovered the world of real estate! She is certified by the Bahamas Real Estate Association member with her BRI designation. Wendy has an associate’s degree in Commercial Art and served as secretary to the Exuma Chamber of Commerce and the Yuma Arts Association for two years. She has served twice as a member of the Local Government’s Port Authority Board and is a member of the Exuma Farmers Association. Wendy loves the outdoors (especially boating and fishing) and is passionate about the environment.

Kenneth Nixon

Director Emeritus, Founding Member

Kenneth Nixon is a businessman who served on the Port Authority Board for nine years, from 1992 to 1998 and 2002 to 2005. For 17 years, Mr. Nixon served on the Exuma Town Planning Board. He is one of the founding members and former director of the EHCP and was involved in placing a water treatment plant at the naval base- Exuma. Mr. Nixon is known as the “Island Handyman” and is willing to assist and support the local community and economy in any way he can.

Tracey Styles

Director

Tracey T. Styles, owner of T.T Water Sports, is a certified PADI open water diver and boat captain with over ten years of experience. Tracey is an ecological conservation and sustainable tourism advocate, loving trails, hikes, and water-based activities. She is honored to be a part of EHCP, an organization changing our environment for good!

Creighton Moxey

Director

Creighton K. Moxey is an international speaker, entrepreneur, and real estate professional. He is the founder of Immerse Global, a business consultancy and marketing company, where he serves as Chief Marketing Officer, developing and executing digital marketing strategies for clients.  

Mr. Moxey serves on the Bahamas Trade Commission as a Commissioner, on the Elizabeth Harbour Conservation Partnership as a Director, and previously served on the Board of Directors at The Bahamas Small Business Development Center. He understands how beneficial these organizations are to the advancement of Bahamians and the sustainability of our country and will continue to utilize the knowledge gained and future insights to ensure our nation’s continued progress.

Basil Minns

Director Emeritus, Founding Member

Basil Minns, a native of Exuma, has played a pivotal role in the island’s development and conservation efforts. In 1957, Basil and his wife, Jane, founded Minns Water Sports, introducing self-drive rental boats, bonefishing, and related services. Over the years, Basil has been actively involved in various island boards, chairing the Exuma Family Island Regatta Committee in 1978 and leading a sub-committee focused on advising on protecting Exuma’s wildlife and national preserves in 1982. In 1998, Basil was appointed chairman of the Exuma Tourism and Environment Advisory Committee (TEAC), earning the 1999 Cacique Award for “Nature Tourism.” Since 1998, he and Jane dedicated their efforts to establishing the Moriah Harbour Cay Land and Sea Park, which eventually became part of the National Park System in 2002.
