Commissioning of the new wastewater treatment facility on Exuma

On Friday, March 18th, 2011, a ceremony was held at the wastewater treatment plant in George Town to celebrate the commissioning of this new facility.  The plant was designed and built with funding from the IWCAM Project primarily to treat wastewater collected from yachts in Elizabeth Harbour, though there are plans to provide sewer facilities for the Fish Fry vendors in the near future. See more pictures from this event on our flickr page.

The Minister of State for the Environment, Mr. Phenton Neymour addresses the crowd at the commissioning.
